Hemis National Park is the largest national park in India. It is the only park located in the northern region of Himalayas. The Shapu sheep and snow leopard are the special attractions of Hemis National Park. The entrance fees of Hemis National Park is Rs 20 per person for Indians and Rs 100 for foreigners.
The best time to visit this place is between May to October. If you are planning to visit during summers, then you can attend the popular Hemis Festival conducted in the Hemis Monastery. The nearest airport is located in Leh, which is around 5 km away from the park. From there you can hire cabs, buses or any other transportations to reach the spot.
